yo!
to those who read my blog... u guys should realise i am, nowadays, a bit obessed with number pattern these all, this is because i found a method to solve them systematically..
and i told mr oei that there is a general formula for any set of numbers... just that it gets more complicated if the pattern is NOT obvious AT ALL... for example, 1, 4 , 9 , 16... u guys might think it is n^2 .... but what is the general formula for 1, 4, 9, 16, 30...? mr oei say that there is no such thing for a general formula for this number pattern...
and this gives me the courage to prove that there is a number pattern for this... and in class, ppl tot i keep trying out the number pattern thing... in fact i cant even focus... how to even keep trying? and in fact if i focus for 10 mins, i can find the number pattern formula easily... and somehow ppl tot that i tried for the whole day... then i got this feeling that ppl are thinking that "oh! look at kah sheng, he is so obessed with this that now he is trying the whole day on this number pattern thingy and nothing came out... " well, it may not be true but this is what i feel....
but oh well, if i explain, possibility is that ppl will think that i am thinking too much, if not ppl will not believe me, if not i will make things more complicated..
but anyway, i admit and i very interested in these right now... haha..
o ya now i am at home, i done the working and got this formula which work just fine for the number pattern 1, 4 , 9, 16 , 30...
and the formula is, 5/24 n^4 - 25/12 n^3 + 199/24 n^2 - 125/12 n + 5
for which "n" means term number...
haha may seem quite complicated, which actually the idea behind it is so simple... just that it is hard to explain.. and if u dun believe it. try sub the values in, if u sub n=1 u get 1, if u sub n=5, u get 30... amazing isnt it? thats what interest me the most since there is no definite number for the next number in a set of number....
what i meant is that for example, 1, 2, 3, 4... what is the next number? the answer can be ANY number, positive or negative, fraction or integer, surds or whole number or decimal.. anything is possible to find a general formula for this... AMAZING!!!
anyway been a long time since i posted... ah so many things happening.. haha so i am not gonna say out one by one, this is a blog not a diary!
anyway, i am happy at the end of the day. haha!
Cheers
