Caffeine for the world!!
i was drinking a super strong coffee.. and when i say strong, the coffee is really strong that because no one around me drinks stronger coffee than me, any strong coffee they drink is very mild for me... dun believe? try putting 5 teaspoon of nescafe instant coffee into a cup add half a teaspoon of sugar and hot water... into like a very normal cup... try drinking it :)
if not try going to macdonald, buy a coffee, add half a packet of the sugar, stir and drink... well most ppl would say, "AWW! it is so bitter, u freak!" well to me, "life is good, coffee is great!"
ok so my point on this blog is not to show off how i like coffee and all... i was actually drinking another super strong coffee today, and so i thought to myself, is coffee very bad for health? cuz i know i am a heavy coffee drinker, so i did a research on caffeine and coffee... well coffee CAN be bad for health, but not necessary so...
here are my research, i will briefly state out the impt part of what i found by point...
1) first, coffee and pure caffeine pills (usually found in diet pills) got a big difference!!
-drinking coffee, in moderate amount, like maybe 2 cups 1 hour or 2hours before work out is good. but taking caffeine pills is no good... thats cuz u are like ingesting a huge amount of caffeine at one go... ur body might not be able to take it...
- caffeine is actually too strong for human body, even for strong coffee drinkers, like me... so i dun suggest caffeine pills.. but coffee!!
2) well drinking coffee, actually can help boost ur exercise performance, and is by a great amount! the coffee stimulates not only ur brain and nervous system, it also makes ur body produce this hormone... that can actually burn ur fats instead of ur muscle or carbohydrates energy! great for weight loss!!! YEAH!
3) furthermore, coffee can boost ur performance and thus u will work out more intense, then naturally u will lose weight! EASY! YEAH!!
4) coffee and coffee tolerance level... for those who do not really drink coffee.. start with a MILD cup of coffee... just one cup will do, like one hour before exercise... cuz ur body is not adapted to caffeine and cannot tolerate strong coffee... so if u wan to try out the superb effect of coffee, then just try a mild one will do... for strong coffee drinkers.. u can try out super strong coffee like 2 to 3 cups 1 hour before workout... it is great, but BEWARE OF THE HEALTH RISK!! i will say the health risk later...
5) coffee and studies... as long as u focus, drinking coffee boost ur brain "intelligence" on the part that u are focusing.... so it is great for studying... however!!! drinking coffee decrease ur "intelligence" on other part of the thing that ur brain does not focus on... and mostly these parts are broad thinking skills and abilities.... however these effects is only temporary...
coffee can be good to ur studies and performance in sports... but... beware of health risk.. and it is really serious if u do not abide by the "caffeine rules"!
1) DO NOT OVERDOSE!!!! by overdose, it actually is by ur body mass, every 1 kg, u take in 3mg of coffee AT MOST!!! like for example if u are 70kg, take in like 210mg of caffeine, which is about 2-3 cups of instant coffee... and it is actually a lot already... so just take like at most 2 cups to play safe?
2) high blood pressure? child? pregnant? NOOOOOOOO! u should not take caffeine, for high blood pressure, if u take too much caffeine, U WILL DIE!! I REALLY MEANT IT! U WILL DIE!!! but for me i have mild low blood pressure ^^ child? u will get hyperactive, and i am sure u do not wan to have little friends and everyone looking down on u and treat u as a clown, do u? pregnant? obvious isnt it? the one in ur tummy is in great risk, u also!
3) and always drink coffee with food or when u are not hungry... if u drink coffee with empty stomach, u will risk having A LOT OF health problem... these tiny mini health problem will add up and frustrate u! like gastric ulcers and so on... so always drink coffee with food or at least something in ur stomach!
4) if u wan to use coffee to boost ur performance, then do not drink coffee everyday, cuz it will boost ur body tolerance level of caffeine, and this can cause u to be immune to caffeine... if u have a competition coming up, don't drink coffee for like 6 days before, and drink like 2 cups of coffee 2 hours before race...
5) however!!! doctors do not recommend caffeine before exercise, dangerous!! but many research and doctors reach different conclusions... so a mild intake is good :)
6) caffeine dehydrates u!!!! so drink water while doing workout! impt!!!
well these are all the thing i found out... so if u are a coffee drinker, or sports siao one, u might wan to try drinking a little coffee before exercise.. rmb DONT OVERDOSE!!!!! anything too much is no good! rmb this!
